Parliament today votes on restoring the Kurdistan Region President’s powers

9th April 2019 - The Kurdistan Parliament's presidency has scheduled for today, 10th April, the third reading and vote on the bill to restore the Kurdistan Region President's powers, and to temporarily change the presidential election method to a parliamentary vote, until a Kurdistan constitution is enacted. 

At tomorrow’s sitting for the third reading, MPs will vote on the bill. At the second reading and the committee stages, MPs had debated the bill and submitted proposed amendments to each of its clauses.
